Job Description
Our organization is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to enhance the security posture of our clients. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for devising, implementing, and maintaining security solutions that safeguard our client’s infrastructure and data from potential cyber threats. Your duties will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting security assessments, staying informed on security threats and trends, and developing and implementing security policies and procedures. Additionally, you will communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, as well as support and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cyber Security Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include the following:
- Creating and Implementing Security Solutions: You will be responsible for creating and implementing security solutions to protect our client's data and infrastructure from potential cyber threats. This will include firewall solutions, intrusion detection and prevention systems, endpoint security solutions, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems. You will also conduct security assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate solutions to mitigate identified risks.
- Creating and Implementing Security Policies and Procedures: You will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies and procedures to enhance the overall security posture of your clients. This will involve developing policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Staying Current on Security Threats and Trends: You will be expected to stay up-to-date on security threats and trends, as well as identify potential risks to clients' infrastructure and data proactively.
- Participating in Incident Response and Recovery Efforts: You will be responsible for incident response and recovery efforts, including forensic analysis and threat mitigation.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: You will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as IT, DevOps, and Compliance to ensure that security solutions are integrated and effective. You will be responsible for communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements and to provide timely and effective solutions.
- Supporting and Guiding Junior Team Members: You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching junior team members, as well as providing support and guidance.
Qualification Needed
To be considered for the role of Cyber Security Engineer, you must have the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is desirable.
- At least three years of experience in Cyber Security or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality security solutions and services.
- Knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, endpoint security solutions, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems is required.
- Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS, as well as experience implementing these frameworks in various environments.
- Understanding of cloud security concepts and technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to identify and analyze security risks and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders and communicate complex security issues in clear and concise terms.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or GIAC are highly sought after.
