Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Risk Analyst to join our team and assist us in ensuring the safety and security of our client’s data and infrastructure. As a Cyber Security Risk Analyst, you will play a key role in identifying potential security risks, assessing their impact, and developing effective risk management strategies. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security controls, policies, and procedures that reduce risks while adhering to industry standards and regulations. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting security assessments, developing and implementing risk management plans, and effectively communicating with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cyber Security Risk Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and assessing security risks: You will be responsible for identifying potential security risks and assessing their impact on the data and infrastructure of our clients. This will involve conducting risk assessments, analyzing threat intelligence, and developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Creating and implementing risk management plans: You will be responsible for creating and implementing risk management plans that mitigate identified risks while also ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conducting security audits: You will be responsible for conducting security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate solutions to mitigate identified risks.
- Creating and implementing security controls: You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create and implement security controls, policies, and procedures that reduce risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Effective communication with clients and stakeholders: You will be responsible for communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements and provide timely and effective solutions.
- Staying current on security threats and trends: You will be expected to stay current on security threats and trends, as well as proactively identify potential risks to clients' infrastructure and data.
- Participating in incident response and recovery efforts: You will be responsible for leading incident response and recovery efforts, including forensic analysis and threat mitigation.
- Supporting and guiding junior team members: You will be responsible for supporting and guiding junior team members, including mentoring and coaching.
Qualification Needed
To be considered for the role of Cyber Security Risk Analyst, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a closely related field is required. A Master's degree is desirable.
- At least three years of experience in Cyber Security or a related field, with a proven track record of providing high-quality security solutions and services, are required.
- Knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, endpoint security solutions, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems is required.
- Understanding of the NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS security frameworks, as well as experience implementing these frameworks in a variety of environments, is required.
- Understanding of cloud security concepts and technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to identify and analyze security risks and develop effective solutions, are required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders and communicate complex security issues in clear and concise terms.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or GIAC are highly sought after.
